The state level coordination meeting to discuss issues of the real estate industry in the state met under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari today. The real estate industry bodies such as CREDAI, NAREDCO, Telangana Builders Federation, Telangana Developers Association etc attended the meeting.
Officials from the Municipal, Revenue, irrigation, commercial tax and labour departments were present in the meeting.Members appraised the Chief Secretary about the issues faced by the real estate industry and sought the intervention of the government in resolving them.
The mistakes in the existing master plan is hampering progress. Till a new master plan is prepared, the mistakes in the existing master plan should be corrected by constituting a committee in the municipal department. The water board has been asked to provide a temporary connection at the construction site as is being done with other industries. They also sought that approval for borewells should be given under the TSBPASS along with building permission. Similarly, temporary electricity connection for building construction to be also made part of the TSBPASS application system.
The builders also sought for establishing a technical help desk in GHMC and HMDA offices to resolve queries raised by various applicants. The existing IT infrastructure in TSBPASS has to be enhanced to accommodate the current and future system loads to avoid regular system failure. Issues relating to mortgage registration, resurvey of lakes under HMDA limits by the irrigation department were also raised during the meeting.
Chief Secretary assured the representatives of various builders association that the government will resolve all the genuine issues raised by the members. She said that the government wants to work closely with the builders fraternity to create a good ecosystem in the state. The endeavour of the government will be to see that the real estate sector conducts its business in a smooth manner. She recalled that the government has brought in path breaking initiatives such as TSIPASS and TSBPASS to help the industry in getting the clearances expeditiously.
Special Chief Secretary MAUD Arvind Kumar informed the meeting that all the policy issues will be addressed and measures will be taken to resolve the long pending demands of the real estate sector.
TS RERA Chairman N.Satyanarayana, CCLA Navin Mittal, HMWS&SB MD Dana Kishore, Commissioner Commercial Taxes Neetu Prasad and other officials attended the meeting.
