Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari met with higher officials of GoI in New Delhi today and appealed that to solve the pending issues which is related to various development schemes in the state. Chief Secretary who went to New Delhi for a one-day visit, had a special meeting with Union Defence Secretary Giridhar, Union Environment and Forests Secretary Leela Nandan, Union Roads, Transport and National Highways Secretary Anurag Jain. CS appealed to grant permissions for many pending projects in the state.
Primarily, a total of 150.39 acres of Defence Department for the construction of two elevated corridors from Paradise Junction to Kandla Koya ORR, Paradise to Karimnagar, Ramagundam ORR and also for the proposed sky-walk at Mehdipatnam Junction. CS Santhi Kumari requested Union Defence Secretary Giridhar to transfer the lands to the state government. Chief Secretary said that adequate alternative lands will also be provided to the Defence Department alternately. Responding to the appeals made by CS Santhi Kumari, Secretary, Union Defence Department assured to bring the relevant details in this matter and take a suitable decision soon. Along with CS Santhi Kumari, Transport, Roads and Buildings Department Secretary Srinivasa Raju and Telangana Bhawan Resident Commissioner Gaurav Uppal participated in the meeting.
Chief Secretary also met Leela Nandan, Secretary, Union Environment and Forest Department and appealed to approve 60 proposals of State Government pending in the National Wildlife Conservation Board. CS has requested the National Board for Wildlife Committee to take a decision to grant fast-track forest department permissions related to terrorism-affected areas and PMGSY works. Similarly, CS Santhi Kumari also met with Anurag Jain, Secretary, Union Roads, Transport and National Highways Department and appealed to solve the many pending issues related to the regional ring road construction works in the state.
