Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar,IAS conducted a meeting with senior officers of Police, General Administration Department, Labour and External Affairs (GOI) at BRKR Bhavan regarding issues and problems faced by Non-residents of Telangana who have migrated to various countries in the world, particularly to Gulf countries.
The Chief Secretary asked the officials to bring out the problems and issues faced by the persons of Telangana and also give their suggestions for resolving these issues.
The suggestions given by these officers would be presented to the Honourable Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for NRI affairs Sri K. T. Ramarao so that an appropriate policy and procedures can be developed. Chief Secretary reiterated that Honourable Chief Minister is concerned and committed to the welfare of the Non resident Telanganites.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Chief Secretary Shri Somesh Kumar, Chief Advisor to the Government Dr Rajiv Sharma and the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri S Narsingrao had visited Kerala state to study the various schemes and policies brought out by the state for the welfare of Non resident Keralites.
