Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari complimented the collectors for taking effective measures in preventing black marketing and hoarding of seeds and asked them to continue the same vigil for the next three weeks.
She said that more than sufficient quantity of seed and fertilizer is available in the state. The farmers should be sensitized to buy packed seeds and also keep the proper invoice till the end of the season so as to claim compensation.
The collectors were told to monitor the movement of fertilizer from the central godowns to the mandal
level and ensure that it is done properly. CS wanted effective coordination
between the police, revenue and agriculture department to critically monitor the situation and ensure that the stocks are available at the outlets.
CS directed the collectors to take up survey of every household in the rural areas in a time bound manner to see whether every household has tap connection.
She emphasised that efforts should be made to ensure that no household is left uncovered. She also asked the collectors to see that stitching of one pair of school uniform is completed and provided to the student by the opening of the schools on the 12 th of June.
