Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad VC Sajjanar, IPS warned all the elements who are planning to disrupt the movement of RTC buses, which is being run by private drivers.
He said, anyone found trying to assault the private drivers who are discharging their duties, they would be booked under relevant IPC sections and the cases would be tried in fast track courts.
Any obstruction of these drivers will be booked as an obstruction to Government servants from discharging their duty. Very firm action will be taken for any such offence.
As such no one would be allowed to perform dharna or stage protest, without any prior permission from the police. This is only to make sure that, the harmony in the local areas prevail.
The Strike is continuing across the state in various forms. The police should also check the bus drivers for drunken driving. If possible they must also check if the commuters are being overcharged in the buses.
The police must insist that RTC bus passes should be accepted.
