The High Court has sent notices to the producer of ‘Kaala’ Dhanush, Rajinikanth and director Pa Ranjith, and has asked them to provide their explanations by February 12th, 2018. However, nothing has been officially confirmed by the production house or the makers.
Besides Rajinikanth, Kaala also stars few top Bollywood actors like Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil and Pankaj Tripathi. Kaala is said to be the story of an old don and is set in the slums of Mumbai’s Dhaaravi.
Eswari Devi will be seen playing the role of Rajinikanth’s wife in Kaala while actor and filmmaker Samuthirakani will be seen playing an important role.
Superstar Rajinikanth has two huge films lined up for release this year – 2.0 and Kaala. While the former is a sci-fi thriller directed by creative filmmaker Shankar, the latter is a mafia story directed by Pa Ranjith who will be teaming up with Rajinikanth for the second time after Kabali. ‘Kaala’ is being produced by Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush under his own banner Wunderbar Films.
