All the localities reporting Corona positive cases to be contained by barricading the entire locality; the exact boundaries of CZ shall be location specific and depending upon the number of positive cases from that area;
• Each such Containment Zone shall have a description of its boundaries;
• Barricading shall be complete by closing all roads and thoroughfares, by leaving one common entry and exit point to the Zone; 2
• The entire perimeter of the CZ shall be barricaded with permanent barricades of at least 8 ft in height;
• The common entry and exit point to the Containment Zone shall be closely monitored by arranging for adequate police force on 24 X 7 basis; there shall be only one entry/exit to each of these CZ;
• No outsider is allowed inside and insider to go outside without valid reason and express consent from the CZ monitoring authorities;
• Confinement of people to their houses shall be enforced by ensuring no physical movement of them outside their houses;
• No movement of the people within the CZ shall be allowed even on to the foot- paths / public thoroughfares in front of their residences;
• Proper Signage shall be established for easy visibility of the Containment Zone;
• Size of the Containment Zone shall depend on the incidence level with an approximate radius of 100 mtrs / 200 mtrs / 500 mtrs and to the extent possible should be co-terminus with existing physical boundaries such as roads etc;
• Each CZ shall be finalized based on 100 HHs for every positive case to the extent possible. A Containment Zone can be made by cordoning off its approach roads; As such an apartment / gated community can also be a CZ;
• In cases, where there are more than one positive case in a particular area, a CZ can be made for an area of 250 mts clearly defining the area being covered;
• Adequate Buffer Zone to each Containment Zone shall be finalized.
• Local public representatives may be consulted while finalizing the CZ;
