National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission is setting up Circuit Bench in Hyderabad from tomorrow to hear cases pending in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) Chairman Justice Sri R.K. Agarwal arrived at Hyderabad on Sunday. On this occasion Telangana State Consumers Affairs Secretary Sri Akun Sabharwal greeted him.
On Sunday National Commission Chairman Justice Sri R.K. Agarwal and Sri Akun Sabharwal held meeting with District Consumer Forum Presidents and Members. In this meeting Telangana State Consumer Commission Chairman Justice Sri M.S.K. Jaiswal also participated. In this meeting they reviewed on the measures to be taken to strengthen District Consumer Forums.
Temporary Circuit Bench is been setup at Telangana State Food Commission Conference Hall at Adarsh Nagar from 28th January to 8th February. Cases related consumer disputes under Consumer Protection Act 1986 will be taken up at this Circuit Bench.
Circuit Bench headed by NCDRC Chairman Justice R.K. Agarwal and member Mrs. M. Shirisha will take up the cases from Monday at 10.30 AM.
In Telangana State Consumer Commission about 2685 cases pending.
Consumer can appeal on the disputes pertaining to Rs. 1 Crore or more before 8th February before this Circuit Bench. New Appeals and Revision petitions of consumer disputes considered to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can also be placed before this bench.
