It looks like the Congress is aiming at Reddy votes from Andhra Pradesh by way of fielding Kiran Kumar Reddy the former Chief Minister who rejoined the party. Kiran Kumar has earned the wrath of Andhra people as he could not save the state from the division. He remains in the history as the last CM of undivided AP.

Now if the Congress thinks that he can get the Reddy votes for the party in the coming elections, it is wrong. Congress will only divide some portion of the Reddy vote bank from YSRC. Jagan the YSRC chief and the son of YSR the former CM has been slowly and steadily consolidating the Reddy base and vote for his party.

But now there is a chance that the Congress may not win the elections in some places but it will mar the chances of YSRC and this in return would benefit the TDP to a larger extent. The people are still not looking at the Congress and Kiran Kumar Reddy as of now cannot turn the tide for the Congress.

Jana Sena and Jagan are doing will in the Andhra, but how far they would compete with Chandrababu is the question. Both the parties will lose some seats with a wafer-thin majority in the multi-cornered contests between TDP,YSRC,JanaSena, BJP, Congress and others. There will be 5 contestants for a seat. If there are any alliances there will be a minimum of 3 contestants.

In this multi-cornered contest, a seasoned politician like Chandrababu will easily win the election. Congress and Jana Sena will only spoil the chances of YSRC apart from the BJP.
