Hero Krishna was the Congress leader and remained in politics as a congressman. He was an MP and never compromised on issues even in times of trouble.
He competed in films and also in Politics with NTR. He was close to the then PM Rajiv Gandhi. He campaigned for Congress along with Vijayanairmala.

After NTR became chief minister in 1994, for the second time, Krishna hit the silver screen with films like Telugu Veera Levara, Bharata Simham, and Sambhavam.
But he always respected NTR and also agreed that he liked NTR very much on a professional basis. Never made any personal comments against anyone.
His son Mahesh never supported any of the political parties. His other son Naresh was with the BJP for some time. His relatives Galla Aruna was with the Congress and TDP. Galla Jaydev the brother in law of Mahesh babu is of a TDP MP.
