Congress In the first phase of the party’s election in Telangana, the party has finalized the names of eight candidates. However, the names of another 8 candidates were announced in the second list. The Congress, which announced its candidates for 16 seats, pushed the parliamentary seat.
Among the other big names to find a place in the list are Komatireddy Venkat Reddy from Bhongir, and Dr Mallu Ravi from Nagarkurnool (SC). The rest of the candidates named are Madhu Yashki Goud from Nizamabad, M Anjan Kumar Yadav from Secunderabad , Firoz Khan from Hyderabad, Dr Ch Vamshichand Reddy from Mahbubnagar, and Dommati Sambaiah from Warangal (SC).
The party is yet to announce its candidate from Khammam constituency. It is learnt that senior party leader Renuka Chowdary is insisting on being given the ticket which was originally planned to be given to businessman Gayatri Ravi, the granite industries magnate.
The party had previously announced eight names last Friday. These were A Revanth Reddy from Malkajgiri, Ramesh Rathod from Adilabad (SC), M Chandrasekhar from Peddapalli (SC), Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from Chevella, Ponnam Prabhakar from Karimnagar, K Madanmohan Rao from Zaheerabad, Gali Anil Kumar from Medak and Balaram Naik from Mahabubabad (ST) constituencies.
