Senior Congress leaders V Hanumnath Rao has sought police protection saying that his life is in danger. VH complained that the followers of Revanth Reddy the Congress working President were threatening to kill him.
VH openly opposed the candidature of Revanth Reddy for the PCC post. He also charged that the AICC in- charge for Telangana was selling the posts.
There are reports that the senior Congress leader VH might quit the Congress party as he was not getting the PCC post. Heavy lobbying is ging in Delhi for the PCC post from various quarters.
Many leaders are aspiring to become the PCC chiefs in Telangana. Right now Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy and Revanth Reddy are in the race for the said post.
There is a chance that the PCC President for Telangana would be appointed by the New year 2021. Even if a new man is posted for the post, the other leaders may not cooperate with him and there will be no unity in the TPCC leaders here.
Right now the immediate task of the PCC is to win the Nagarjuna sagar seat.
