Congress leader Mallikrajun Kharge has filed a petition against the BJP government for sending the CBI chief on leave. Kharge filed with the Court that the PM Modi cannot send the CBI chief out of the office or on leave. A three-member committee is authorised to deal with the issue and the PM cannot do it he stated.

Meanwhile, the CBI chief is facing corruption allegations from his deputy. The Congress is of the opinion that since Verma was dealing with the Rafales case he was dumped unceremoniously by the Modi government to avoid probe on the Rafales.

Meanwhile, the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said that if the Rafales deal comes out Modi will have to step down as he was directly involved in the scam benefitting Anil Ambani’s Reliance.

The Supreme court has already suggested that the Government must come up with the pricing and other modalities of the deal and submit the same in 10 days.

There are different versions from the French government over the deal.
