CPI leaders are unhappy with the way a few seats have been allocated to them under the Praja Kutami banner. Some of the leaders blamed that Chada Venkat Reddy the state Secretary could not deal with the Congress leaders properly. Chada also went all the way to Delhi for seat negotiations but could not get the desired results.
There is no coordination between the leaders themselves in the Kutami. Communist might revolt any time and come out of the alliance and may contest on their own. The CPM is contesting under the banner of Bahujana left front.
In reality, the communists are holding ground only in few segments. They may not win those segments also. But they are demanding for more seats. Especially the CPI.
The leaders are putting pressure on Chada that they want more seats or else the would come out of Kutami. At the same time, the disgruntled elements have already started talking to the TRS leaders. Even if the seat issues are settled, it looks like the disgruntled elements will scuttle the chances of other candidates.
