Collections first, the common man next at TTD

It looks like the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam board under Subba Reddy is concentrating on daily collections rather than the Darshan and amenities for the common man.

The first priority is given to the Srivani Donors of Rs 10000 and then comes the other Break Darshan pilgrims with recommendations. Pilgrims having nine free darshan tokens and also Rs 300 tickets get the priority of Darshan next.

The special entry in the name of Chairman recommendation is also given darshan. But people who cannot book the tickets online may not get the Balaji Darshan in the coming days.

Selling tickets in just 100 minutes times is not the right system. Earlier Balaji Bhavans across the Telugu states and also the Post offices used to sell Tirumala Darshan tickets.

Now, one has to go online for the tickets and accommodation. Some cottages are under repair and there is a scarcity of accommodation for the pilgrims.

There is no proper guidance system on the Hill Shrine. Now not more than 25000 pilgrims are coming to the Lord Balaji. But the brokers are having field time.

The Laddu Prasadam has lost its glamour with no dry fruits in it. There is Kaju, Kismiss and also aroma for the laddu. They are underweight and small costing Rs 50.

But one thing is that you can buy any number of Laddus. Earlier there were brokers for selling Laddu also. Some areas are spick and span, while some other areas are dirty with pigs going around.

Good hotels have been closed as they could not pay the rentals to the TTD. Some medium hotels here and there are doing good business. All said and done after a few hardships, it takes just 20 minutes for getting the darshan.

Lets hope the common man will also get all the importance in the near future on the TTD.
