Cockfights begin in AP

The court orders cannot stop the cockfights in AP. Even the police cannot the crowds as they are continuing the tradition since decades.

Defying orders of the Hyderabad High Court on conducting cockfights, two politicians in Andhra Pradesh participated in the blood sport in East Godavari’s Pithapuram town.

In Hyderabad, enthusiasts are conducting the cockfights on the rooftops to avoid the police dragnet.

Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham and Pithapuram MLA SVSN Varma, both leaders of the TDP, took part in a cockfight as part of the Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme in the town.

So as usual despite some objections and restrictions, the cockfights will take place in AP.
