Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy remembered Telangana ideologue and father of Telangana State Professor Jayashankar on the occasion of his death anniversary on June 21.
The Chief Minister said that Jayashankar is a prominent person who lived all through his life to the cause of statehood for Telangana.
Jayashankar played an important role in creating awareness on injustice meted out to Telangana in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh and fought for statehood till he breathed his last.
The CM said that the Telangana ideologue is forever alive in people’s minds and hearts.
CM Revanth Reddy said that, even before the formation of Telangana ,Jayashankar is a visionary and foresaw the Telangana development in all fields by making use of his acquaintance.
The Chief Minister recalled that Professor Jayashankar’s hometown Akkampeta has been declared as Revenue Village soon after the Congress government assumed power in the state.
