Chie Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao has released the water from Mallanna Sagar reservoir along with Minister for Finance Harish Rao.
BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao was also seen with them here at the reservoir while releasing the waters. The project was dedicated to the Nation. CM KCR was given a traditional welcome by the Archakas and KCR gave harathi to the lift irrigation project.
KCR was having slight cold and he was seen sneezing with his hankey. The reservoir was built at a cost of around Rs seven thousand crore.
MP Kotha Prabhakar was also seen during the inauguration of the project.
CM KCR inspected the project area and the flow of water with his regular cowboy cap. He talked to the engineers and suggested them some changes.
Ministers Mallareddy and Srinivas Reddy were also present. Harish Rao said that today is a very sacred day and it is the best day for Mallanna. We are happy to launch this project today as we proved that the opposition is wrong by completing this project.
350 cases on the project were cleared on the same day four years ago he reminded. This will benefit half of Telangana explained Harish Rao. The project has the capacity of fifty TMC of water.
