Recollecting Sai Chand’s role during the statehood movement, he said “Telangana society lost a great singer and artiste. He ignited the Telangana spirit during the movement and thereafter, spread the message of development through his songs.
It is very unfortunate that we lost him, especially when he is rising to new heights.” KCR recalled that his public meetings were never conducted without Sai Chand’s Performance. He was born at Amarchinta of Wanaparthy district on September 20, 1984.
Sai pursued his post-graduation, but gained fame as an artist and singer from his student days. In the second phase of Telangana movement, he ignited the Telangana spirit among the people through his song and dance.
He has been actively creating awareness on the development and welfare programmes of the BRS government after the State formation.
In December 2021, Saichand was appointed as the Chairman of the Telangana State Warehouse Corporation and has been serving in the office since then.
