Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has greeted Veerasaiva Lingayats on the occasion of Mahatma Veera Basaveswara Jayanthi.
The CM said Basaveswara had opposed caste, race, and gender discrimination, which led to the equality among people, and he was a progressive and able administrator of his day.
KCR said the state government is working for the welfare of the Veerasaiva Lingayats.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has also extended greetings to the Muslim brethren and sisters in the State on the Holy occasion of Ramzan.
In a message here , the Chief Minister said that with the fasting, the Holy month of Ramzan evokes peace, love, compassion, and brotherhood and the festival in Telangana was a true symbol of Ganga Jamuni Tahzeeb.
KCR said programmes and welfare schemes launched by the State government for the minorities had brought light in the lives of Muslims and was bringing about a qualitative change in their lives.
