Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has created a record by presenting the vote on account budget in the Assembly today for the year 2019-20. KCR read out the budget for about an hour in detail.
There is a precedent of the CMs presenting the budget. Nedurumally Janardhan Reddy the CM from the Congress party earlier presented the budget. Goa CM Parrikar also presented the Budget.
Karnataka CM Kumara Swamy Gowda and Chattisgarh CM Bhupesh also presented the Budget for the year 2019-20.
Himachal CM Thakur also presented the Budget for this current financial year.
The chief Ministers of united Andhra Pradesh Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and also K Rosaiah presented the Budgets earlier. So there is nothing new in KCR presenting the budget. There was a precedent of this kind.
The Union budget was presented by Piyush Goel in the absence of Finance minister Arun Jaitley.
UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Kerala CM Oman Chandy also presented the budgets earlier taking the responsibility of the Finance Ministers. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara and Nagaland CM Sangma also presented the Budgets.
