When the country is paying rich tributes to Pingali Venkaiah from Andhra Pradesh the creator of the National Flag, the Chief Minister of the state Jagan did not bother to remember the legend.

Jagan should have felicitated his family members or organised some program to take pride that the Jenda Venkaiah hails from Andhra Pradesh.

But the PM stated that it is a special 2nd August ! At a time when we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is all set for Har Ghar Tiranga a collective movement to celebrate our Tricolour. I have changed the DP on my social media pages and urge you all to do the same.

Paying tribute to Pingali Venkayya, who had designed the flag, on the birth anniversary the PM said, “Our nation will forever be indebted to him for his efforts of giving us the Tricolour, which we are very proud of. Taking strength and inspiration from the Tricolour, may we keep working for national progress.”

Meanwhile, the National Flag is being sold online and the post offices in the respective areas will deliver the National Flag at Rs twenty-five only. We can book the flag online and get it delivered to our house. It can be booked on www.indiapost.com. Now with the new set of rules anybody can hoist a national flag.
