Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to make arrangements on war footing for the establishment of Skill University in the state. The Chief Minister asked the officials and industry bigwigs to come up with clear proposals for the establishment of the Skill University one or two days before the start of the budget session of the state Assembly by this month end.
The government will take an appropriate decision within 24 hours after examining the proposals received. The CM held a meeting with the representatives of the various industrial units on skill development at the Engineering Staff College, Gachibowli today (Monday). Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and Advisor to the Chief Minister Vem Narender Reddy also participated in this meeting. The CM sought the views and opinions on the establishment of the skill university from the officials and celebrities in the meeting.
The Chief Minister proposed the establishment of Skill University within the premises of the Engineering Staff College. Since the college is located close to IT companies and other industries, the CM ordered the officials to examine the setting up of skill universities in the college premises.
CM Revanth Reddy and the officials discussed the constitution of a Board for skill university on the lines of ISB ( International School of Business) and decided to float a board temporarily. The Chief minister suggested to the officials to come up with a blueprint in advance for the courses which are being offered in the university, course curriculum, industrial needs and employment opportunities to the youth.
