Agri Tech South 2024 and Agri Vision 2024 organised by the confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in collaboration and partnership with the Government of Telangana and Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) serves as a platform for bringing together many foreign as well as national visitors from several states and visitors from Telangana to interact with the leading international agriculture technology companies and other stakeholders.
The AgriTech South 2024 and Agri-Vision 2024, held once in two years, is one of the leading National Agriculture Events of its kind to showcase cutting technologies to address contemporary issues faced by smallholder farmers such as climate change, soil degradation, crop diversification, water scarcity etc.
This Conference and Exhibition being held from 16 to 18th February, 2024 at PJTSAU campus, Hyderabad traditionally attracts many policy-makers, national and international experts, practitioners and trainers in all sectors of agriculture, as well as thousands of farmers from all over the country.
This year the AgriTech South 2024 and AgriVision 2024 will be graced by both Honourable Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy garu and Honourable Minister for Agriculture Sri Thummala Nageshwar Rao garu.
This year AgriTech 2024 and Agri-Vision 2024 is unique in many ways.
Technical sessions (16+) in the form of Presentations, Panel discussions and Farmer-Scientist-Industry interactive sessions comprising 65+ renowned global experts and thought leaders from India and abroad involving 1000+ delegates for insightful discussions on contemporary topics relevant to Indian / Telangana agriculture ecosystem viz., Climate change and adaptation including climate smart agriculture, Regenerative agriculture, Value chain mechanization, Sustainable management of water & soil, Emerging fourth industrial revolution technologies, Sustainable horticulture and nutritional security, Animal husbandry, Poultry, Aquaculture etc.
Keynote address by International Experts, Prof. Ronnie Coffman of Cornell University, USA and Prof. Ginige Athula of Western Sydney University, Australia, on climate change and digital agriculture, respectively.
A special Panel Discussion is organized on “Role of FPOs in agricultural development” involving practitioners viz., Sahyadri farms, Mulknoor Cooperative, APMAS, Kattangur FPO, Narinja Rythumitra FPO besides NABARD.
Telangana is emerging as an Oil Palm hub in the country with more than 2.0 lakh acres coverage till data. Therefore a Special Platform is organized and chaired by renowned oil palm expert Prof Rethinam. This session includes scientists, farmers, oil palm industry, microirrigation companies, and Department of Horticulture to address knowledge gaps in oil palm cultivation.
A special session is devoted for launch of digital products & solutions based on AI, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, Sensors, drones etc by several successful AgriTech StartUps for the benefit of smallholder farmers for improving efficiency, farm profitability and sustainability.
