The city of Hyderabad must get regular and proper drinking water on time directed the CM Revanth Reddy. He reviewed the situation from various angles and suggested that there should be no complaints for drinking water in the city.

CM Revanth said that although more drinking water is being supplied now compared to last year, but it was not enough. The situation had arisen due to depletion of groundwater levels as people were dependent more on tap water.

The Chief Minister directed officials to continuously monitor the supply of drinking water. He said that the Chief Secretary would hold a review meeting every day with top officials of Mission Bhagiratha, municipal, irrigation and energy departments.

The vigilance department was also suggested to look into the water supply and also the hoarding of water by the illegal tanker suppliers. The HMWSSB has also been suggested to supply the water tankers at an affordable rate.

The state intelligence has already suggested that the water issue in city could effect the prospects of the Congress party in the parliament elections.

This has prompted the CM to call for a review meeting and see that there would be no issue for water in city.
