With Traffic restrictions across the city, the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are getting ready for the celebrations this night. Except for the Begumpet flyover all other flyover have been closed by the Traffic police.
The drunken drive checking will be there by the police. The commuters are advised to carry the Licence and other relevant papers of the vehicles.
Cyberabad police have announced that 10 years imprisonment for the drunken driving will be implemented. The vehicles will also be seized if the relevant papers are not shown.
The clubs and pubs are permitted to be kept open up to 1AM. The liquor shops will be also be kept open till midnight 12. But the police have also advised the public must follow the Corona guidelines.
The owners of the Clubs and Pubs have called on their regular customers and some of them have also offered concessions. Tight security has been arranged across the city.
When it comes to New Year celebrations in other cities, the police has imposed night curfew to avoid any untoward incidents. There is night curfew in Delhi already under implementation.
