Now that Pawan is holding the Cinematography portfolio the cinema should not go into the hands of Mega family. Pawan wh knows the cinema’s ins and outs must make justified decisions which would be in the interest of the producers and also the common man who purchases ticket.
Allu Arvind has come to Vijayawada to meet Pawan Kalyan after the issue of Allu Arjun support to YSRC. Ashwini Dutt also has come to bargain for the ticket rate of his movie Kalki which has been produced with around 500 crore.
Producers claim that the Telugu film industry should remain neutral since governments change in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana every five years.
“Telugu producers hosting parties to celebrate Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s victory in AP is unwarranted,”
Some producers are of the opinion that the industry being brushed with TDP colours doesn’t augur well since creative people have no political leanings.
One producer with limited experience says “If I like a particular party and if it wins, I should host a party at my home, rather than making it an industry-win and turning the industry into TDP sympathizers.
We are creative people and do our work to earn a living. For instance, national film awards are given on merit and talent, not for people who are followers of the BJP, so industry bigwigs should understand this,” they said .
