Cinema on Silver screen is like mother and the OTT, Aha platforms are like kids said Allu Aravind the mega producer of Tollywood. He was talking at the one-year celebration meet of Ala Vaukuntapuramulo along with director Trivikram Srinivas and Hero Allu Arjun.
Aravind said that they were able to tide over the crisis for the last 9 months of Corona thinking about the success of Ala Vaikuntapuramulo. The movie Ala was also a game changer in the industry and people have liked it in all forms and have been watching it all the time during the Corona period.
The songs of Ala were also very popular since last one year and even now they are on he said. Coming to the cinema there is no alternative he opined. No platform can be of match to the silver screen he opined.
People want to see the movies on the silver screen all the time and they will come to the theatres he exuded confidence. He thanked the cine goers for loving the movie so much.
The success goes to the team of Ala Vaikuntapuramulo and all of them have excelled he said. He did not agree with the view point of some directors that OTT is the future of the film industry.
It is just one alternative and it cannot replace the silver screen at any point in time he opined.
