People thought she would be the General secretary of the Party headed by Amma Jayalalithaa. But Chinnamma has stepped into the hoses of Amma with all ease. Yes Sasikala Natarjan the closest aid of Amma is the new chief of the AIADMK. Like Amma took over from Anna, Chinnamma took over from Amma.
Long live Chinnamma is the latest slogan, and it is rumoured that Sasikala might take over the CM post from Panneerselvam sooner or later. Political pundits said that Selvam was joining hands with the BJP in Delhi to keep Sasikala away from the CMs post. But it looks like she is coming closer to him slowly but with a calculated strategy. She is likely to take over as the General secretary of the party on January 5 according to the sources in the party close to her.
People would look for MG Ramachandran in Jayalalithaa, now they are seeing Amma in Sasikala said one of the party functionaries who was shouting slogans for the Chinnamma. The power of OPS the stop gap CM may come down drastically it is reported. He will be there but not on the top said one of the functionaries’ close of Chinnamma.
According to the rules of the AIADMK party only workers with 5 years of membership can take the party post as GS. But here Sasikala did not fill the criteria, and Chinnamma said and promised that she will follow the footsteps of Amma. Sasikala is not technically qualified to take the post, but the party workers gave her all the advantage and respect.
Even though Chinnamma was very close to the Amma, she was not allowed to tinker into the party affairs and also in the Government. But now she has all the grip on the Government and also the party apart from living in the same house where Jayalalithaa lived.All said and done Pannerselvam could not assert him for the GS post. Till the recent times all the CMs were holding the GS post.
It is rumored that OPS is depending on BJP to continue in the post and complete his term as the CM.
