TTD is organizing the annual Festival of Chatrasthapanotsavam at Narayanagiri Srivari Padalu on July 30.
As part of the festivities, a team of archakas will perform Tirumanjanam and install a colourful umbrella at srivari padalu.
As per legend, the festival is observed annually commemorating the historical occasion of Sri Venkateswara Swamy placing His first step on this mount at Tirumala on Shravana Shudda Dwadasi day.
As part of festivities, archakas perform Tirumanjanam from the water of Bangaru Bavi of Srivari temple, followed by puja, naivedyam, prabhanda Parayanams by Vedic pundits and Prasadam to devotees.
TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy said on Tuesday that the TTDs cancer hospital, Sri Balaji Institute of Oncology is fully geared to provide treatment for all kinds of cancer with international standards of medical equipment and expertise.
He was participating in a 10-day cancer awareness and training program for screening tests organised by Sri Padmavati Mahila Medical College from July 13-22 for community health officers (CHO), Mid Level Health Providers (MLHP) of the Tirupati district.
Addressing them as chief guest of the training session the TTD EO said annually seven lakh persons die of cancer and early screening and diagnosis helps in treatment.
