India has got the first Gold Medal in the 21 st CWG 2018 through weight lifter Mirabai Chanu . She broke the games record while winning the medal .
Chanu competed in the 48 Kg event and broke the record for the gold in the snatch caegory. She lifted 86 Kg in her third attempt. Amanda Braddock was in the second place lifted 76 kgs. She manged it with some difficulty.
In the clean jerk categoy, she broke her personal recrod, whic was 184 kg. Now her personal best stands at 196 Kg that is 110kg plus the 86 kg .
