Unrest among party leaders appears to have taken root, and spreading in the BJP in the state and if the current goings are any indication, a group of leaders are waiting and watching the direction the party takes under the new leadership of G. Kishan Reddy. A Chandrasekhar the senior politician has said Ram Ram to BJP and is joining the Congress.

More leaders are in the pipeline and they will sink the ship just before the elections. They may support the BRS in the end.

The BJP’s bubble first burst after the Munugode by-election loss. The bigger burst of the bubble came after Congress’ win in Karnataka. The question is whether we want to continue in the BJP or not said one senior BJP leader.

Those thinking of quitting the BJP are pitching their reasoning as not one of their individual aspirations but more of a state leadership failure, which they claim has been self-centred.

A top-down approach from the party high command that issues directions to implement programme after programme which has “run the cadre ragged,” and Union Ministers coming for visits with no clue about the ground reality.

People say it is a disciplined party, but it has internal bickerings more than Congress. The BJP is a party of few leaders in Telangana who are self-centered and don’t work for others.

Bandaru Dattatreya, Dr Laxman, and Kishan Reddy are the main pillars and they continue to thrive in some form or other. Earlier Venkaiah Naidu used to run the show.

BJP has funds, but the so-called leaders dont spend at the grass root level and that is one reason for losing the election in Munugode. The BJP with great difficulty may cross the double digit this time in Telangana.
