TDP the political party started by NTR in the name self-respect of the Telugu people will complete forty years today. It was started in the New MLA quarters at Adarshnagar.
When the TDP was launched Chandrababu was in fact in the Congress party as an MLA and later he became the Minister for Cinematography. He also married the daughter of NTR and then joined the party.
The rest is history. He developed the party and took over as the CM from NTR. The dominance of Lakshmi Parvathi made babu grab power from NTR.
Babu ruled the united AP as the longest tenure CM of the state. He developed Hyderabad in a big way. He brought the IT culture into Hyderabad as Agriculture was not doing well in the state due to drought.
Like NTR he also strived hard for the development of the state. But he failed to take n Jaganmohan Reddy the son of YSR and the CM of AP. Jagan gave a severe jolt to Babu by winning around 150 seats.
The welfare schemes are the USP of the Jagan Government. Prashant Kishore the poll strategist also helped Jagan to win the election in a big way.
Now Chandrababu it striving to revive the party.
