Chandrababu, former Ministers and MLAs along with the media and security slipped into the Godavari waters while they were trying to get out of the boat.
Chandrababu the TDP chief and the former Chief Minister got down from the big boat into a small boat and was taken to the shore. When others tried to get down they slipped into the waters.
The life jackets were thrown to them and they got hold of them to come to the shore. All of them drowned inside the waters when Babu was watching from the shore.
Devineni Uma, Pithani satyanarayana and others escaped with the help of life jackets. They were close to the shore and escaped from neck-deep waters. The incident occurred at Saompally in West Godavari.
All the TDP leaders reached the shore safely. Most of them were not wearing life jackets when they were coming to the shore. The black cats have secured Babu with the life jackets while other leaders did not wear the jackets.
But all of them had jackets.
The boat tumbled as they were crossing into other boats. The boat in fact was overloaded.
