Chaganti Koteshwar Rao has become a house hold name in Telugu speaking families. Daily one channel or the other people would listen to Chaganti about the way of life, Ramayana , Mahabharatha so on and so forth.
But his latest discourse on Srikrishna and Yadavas has become a major controversy. While talking about the birth of Srikrishna, the lord he talked about Yadavas and their cleanliness. The talks indirectly mentions that Yadavas are not clean.
This prompted the Yadavs to take action against Chaganti and they have filed a case against him it is reported. Soon after this Chaganti met the leaders of Yadavas and explained them that he was misquoted. He also apologised for hsi faux remark against Yadavs.
But they did not relent. They are demanding for a rejoinder on the ETv the channel in which he spoke against them. Chaganti agreed for the same. At the same time it is reported that Chaganti has decided to stop his pravachans.
Earlier he was appointed as the cultural advisor to the Government of AP also. But so far he did not take up the assignment and post.
Lakhs of his followers are very upset with his latest decision of stopping the pravachans. They are trying to step in and talk to the Yadav leaders. It has to be seen if Chaganti would continue his pravachans.
