Centre raises DA by 5 percent

The central government has raised the DA by 5 per cent. The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting today headed by PM Narendra Modi. This decision was taken keeping the price rise in mind.

This was according to the recommendations made by the central pay commission. Now the Da was 12 percent and after the rise, it is 17 per cent.

This will bring some sort of relief to the working class or the middle class from this Diwali. This hike will cost around Rs 16000 to the exchequer of the Government.

Around 50 lakh government employees and 65 lakh pensioners will be benefitted with the decision of the Government. Union Minister Javdekar described it as Diwali gift to the employees.
