The State Government is contemplating to file criminal cases against the MLAs who injured Council speaker Swamy Goud in the Assembly with earphones when Governor Narasimhan was addressing the joint session of the Assembly.
While the Speaker has dismissed the MLAs, the court did not agree with it and ruled against the decision. However, the Speaker has got the decision to look into the judgement and review the matter again.
On the other hand, the State Government is contemplating to take up the matter at the Supreme court level. CM KCR is of the opinion that the MLAs have done a grave mistake in the Assembly premises in name of hitting the Governor and thereby injuring the Council speaker by mistake. This was admitted by the members on the floor of the house.
CM KCR has convened a meeting of the legal luminaries here at Pragathi Bhavan and has decided to take the cases to the Supreme court apart from filing cases in Saifabad police station.
The Speaker will also take the issue separately. At the same time, it depends on the decision of the speaker, if the high court ruling is to be implemented or not. The issue occurred in the Assembly and Speaker is the ultimate authority for the MLAs and also the Assembly premises. The issue happened inside the Assembly when the Governor was addressing and speakers where at the podium.
