Dr MCR HRD Institute and Lal Bahadur Shasty National Academy of Administration,Mussoorie launched a two-week Capacity Building Program for the Officers of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat.
Dr Shashank Goel, IAS, DG of the Institute Spl Chief Secretary to Govt of Telangana, who was the Chief Guest, said that the program is to empower the Officers from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat to contribute meaningfully to India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.
“The officers of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat hold a pivotal role in the legislative process of
our country.As guardians of parliamentary procedure and protocol, your work ensures that
the legislative branch functions efficiently and that the sanctity of our democratic processes is maintained”, Dr Shashank Goel, IAS stated.
Dr Shashank Goel, IAS stated that the objectives of the program are to enhance organizational efficiency, develop skills, foster desiloisation,facilitate exposure to emerging technologies, cultivate leadership and innovation, foster a collaborative understanding of pathways to national development, ensure holistic development, and align with future needs.
While concluding, Dr Shashank Goel, IAS, reiterated the importance of continuous learning
in public service. “As we live in a constantly changing environment,digital transformation,
global interconnectivity, and increasing complexity in governance, the ability to adapt, innovate, and improve has gained prominence”, he added.
Sri Kushal Kumar Pathak, Joint Secretary, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, who was the Chief Guest, said that the main objective of the Capacity Building Program is to impart domain knowledge, enrich and diversify job-related skills, and to create the right perspective in the minds of the Officers about their respective roles. “The training program will be greatly instrumental in empowering the Officers to contribute to India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047”, he stated.
