Karnataka CM Kumara Swamy Gowda said that he cannot act against corruption in the present circumstances. The situation is so bad that if he takes action against the corrupt practices he will lose the Post. The Sringeri Swamy has suggested Gowda weed out corruption in the society, But Gowda said that it is not possible for him as he is dependent on others for running the Government and that he was hinting at the Congress party.
The CM himself openly stated that somebody was demanding for a bribe of Rs 10 crore in the Vidhana Sabha. Can we run the Government like this he questioned? I do not know how long I would continue and live he said. He also revealed that his father Deve Gowda wanted the CM post to be given to the Congress party.
In this fashion Gowda, the CM is facing a tough time in keeping the flock together. The BJP, on the other hand, is trying its level best to take some MLAs and demand for a floor test again. If he is serious on the corruption front it is likely that he may lose the power and the CMs post-Gowda clarified. There are rumours that some of the Congress MLAs are unhappy with the portfolios they have been given. Some JDS MLAs have raised their voice.
