Canines unconditional love… – DGP Ravi

Director General of Police Ravi Gupta stated that canines exemplify unconditional love. The 23rd batch of Canines passing out parade took place at the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy (IITA) in Moinabad on Friday. Director General of Police Ravi Gupta was the chief guest at this event, which was celebrated as a festival of excellence.

The DGP described canines as symbols of affection and love, emphasizing their crucial role in aiding police investigations and apprehending suspects.

He expressed admiration for the talent and discipline displayed by the canines during the passing out parade. He highlighted the national acclaim received by IITA for its training programs, with police departments from various states seeking to train their personnel at the academy.

Additionally, Intelligence Additional DGP B. Shivdhar Reddy acknowledged the commendable contributions of police canines to the achievements of the Telangana State Police Department.

He praised the progress made by IITA staff in recent years and emphasized the recognition received from police officers across states as a testament to their dedication. Moving forward, he wished the academy continued success. Intelligence Security Wing DIG Tafseer Iqbal noted that police officers from Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and other states undergo training at IITA.

The passing out parade featured 21 dogs accompanied by 28 canine handlers, undergoing training in various fields such as tracking, apprehension, and narcotics detection. The breeds included Labrador, German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, and Cocker Spaniel.

Since its inception in 2004 with 11 canines, the training program has graduated a total of 771 canines. Exceptional canines and their handlers were awarded prizes, followed by demonstrations showcasing their skills, including obedience, search and rescue, and crime scene investigation.
