The Enforcement Directorate has arrested P Sarath Reddy, Director, of Aurobindo Pharma, in connection with its probe into the alleged irregularities in the scrapped liquor policy of the Delhi Government.
Sarath Reddy ‘had a role in the cartelization of licenses and alleged kickbacks.P Sarath Chandra Reddy, brother of Vijay Sai Reddy’s son-in-law Rohit Reddy and Director of Aurobindo Pharma, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor scam.
Sarath Chandra Reddy along with Vinay Babu of liquor company Pernod Ricard India was arrested after 3 days of interrogation.
ED initiated the money laundering probe based on an FIR filed by the CBI, which began the investigation following a recommendation from Delhi-LG Vinai Kumar Saxena.
The LG’s recommendation came after the Delhi chief secretary found irregularities in the new excise policy, which has now been scrapped.
