The State Government is going against the plaster of Paris Ganesh in a big way against the pollution. But the idol makers and the Ganesh Utsav Samithi are arguing that the plaster of Paris can be removed from the waters and dumped aside.
Whereas the mud will fill the water bodies ad it becomes difficult for the future.
In the name of pollution, the police have more or less convinced the Ganesha Utsav Samithi to install mud Ganesha this time at Khairatabad. The mud Ganesha will be fifty feet in height.
But there is an argument that the plaster of Paris idols can be installed, and removed from the waters after nimajjan. This will reduce pollution. Whereas if the mud is dumped into the water, the water bodies’ depth will be reduced.
If the plaster of Paris can be cleared, why should the idols be made in mud is a real question. The mud in fact fills the water bodies. Plaster idols don’t dissolve and can be removed.
The police are forcing the organisers to go for mud idols and the Ganesh sellers have already made plaster of Paris idols in the city. They will lose the business this time.
So the future of the Ganesh idol makers and seller is in question. It takes some time for the idol makers to adjust in making the mud Ganeshas on a permanent basis.
A new controversy has started in Hyderabad in the name of pollution for Ganesh Utsav and Nimajjan.
