The media advisors can plant some stories and elevate the image of the Government or the Chief Minister, but they cannot prevent the onslaught from the media. The same is happening with the Jagan Government.
Media bashing is going on against Jagan and his YSRC Government for a long time. Ramachandra Murthy the senior Journalist and Amar Devulapalli journalist cum Union leader were appointed as the media advisors.
But they could not prevent the onslaught from the media. People are now busy with social media, they don’t bother about print media or TV. Ramachandra Murthy has resigned from the advisor posts and now Amar is in Delhi in the name of national media.
Most of the damage now is being done by social media. No advisor can prevent this for that matter. The media is now in the hands of some leaders and political parties catering to their needs.
The people don’t take them seriously. One media says this and the other media says something else. So we have to see how far Amar can save the image of the YSRC Government in the near future.
There is a talk that Amar could not get an appointment with CM Jagan for a long time. Amar is a taskmaster and he has friends cutting across the party lines in the media.
He has been doing his best. But one cannot cover the reality for a long time. The truth is evident in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
