The centre has passed legislation where the Government can declare an Individual a terrorist. Home Minister and BJP chief Amit Shah said that the same provision was also there in vogue in other countries also and it was being introduced in India also to stop terrorism.
Amit Shah explained to the agitated MPs when a terror organisation was banned, , the terrorists were coming up new outfits. The provision is part of the anti-terror bill and it has been passed in the LokSabha.
The members of the opposition opined that the Government can brand people as anti-nationals and terrorists if they oppose the Government. Amit Shah assured that the BJP Government will not misuse the provisions.
People who have terror links will be designated as terrorists he clarified. The UN,US,China, Pakistan, and Israel, have the same provision explained Amit Shah. When the MPS argued that the provision could be misused to settle the scores with the political rivals, Amit Shah said that the BJP will not do that.
However, he said that the urban Maoists will be smashed by the Government to protect the law and order. he also added that the provision was first brought in by the Congress part but was not implemented. The same is now being introduced he explained.
