If there is any illegal poaching of animals or any tree cutting in an illegal manner we can call the forest department and report the same. The Cell for the protection of animals and also trees works round the clock.
The Union Bank of India, Hyderabad has come forward to sponsor a Wild Animal Rescue Vehicle for Telangana Forest Department under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Accordingly, one Mahindra Bolero Camper Vehicle was purchased by the Union Bank of India Authorities at a cost of Rs.9.50 lakh and handed over to the Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF) at Aranya Bhavan on 22.06.2023 at a simple function.
The vehicle which is fully equipped for wild animal rescues was then inaugurated by Sri. R.M. Dobriyal, IFS., PCCF (HoFF).
The Telangana State Forest Department is operating 24 x 7 Forest and Wildlife Control Cell located at Aranya Bhavan with Toll-Free No. 18004255364.
All the information relating to Wild Animal Rescues, Poaching and Illegal Trade of Wildlife, Illicit felling of trees etc., received at this Cell is acted upon by the Department.
The Forest Department has set up one Anti – Poaching Squad to take up rescue wild animals.
