After the MLC elections now the CM KCR has started concentrating on the Budget session.
Minister for Finance T Harish Rao will present the budget in the Assembly on Thursday. In the Legislative Council, the budget is likely to be presented by Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy.
It will be a welfare budget to the extent of around 2 lakh crore. With the increase in revenues flowing into the exchequer, CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has suggested Hrish Rao the Minister to present a full-fledged and realistic budget.
In the traditional format the budget session of the Telangana State Legislature will kickstart here on Monday, with Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan addressing a joint session of both the Houses at 11 am.
The next day Legislative Houses will pass resolutions condoling the demise of legislators and former legislators including Nagarjuna Sagar MLA late Nomula Narasimhaiah who passed away recently. They will hold a discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address on Wednesday.
The Assembly sessions will be held in strict adherence to Corona protocol that was enforced in the previous sessions too. The physical distancing between legislators in both the Houses will be maintained.
MLAs, officials and their staff along with media personnel underwent Corona tests. Only those who turned out negative will be allowed to attend the budget session.
