There is huge hungama in Hyderabad with public meeting of the BJP and the dharna of the BRS party. Both BJP and BRS have decorated the city with flags, buntings and posters.
There are posters heckling Modi and his governance. The BJP has putup posters welcoming Modi and talking about the development.
BRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao gave a call to party leaders and workers, to hold a ‘maha dharna’ against the Centre’s decision to auction coal mines of Singareni Collieries and Company Limited (SCCL).
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has decided to stay away from PM Modi’s programmes in Hyderabad. He has deputed minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav to receive and see off the PM.
The party leadership asked leaders and workers to hold demonstrations in their constituencies with black badges and black flags to protest against the failure of BJP-led government at the Centre in fulfilling the promises made to Telangana.
BRS senior leader and former MP B.Vinod Kumar justified the CM staying away from PM’s programmes stating that it was Modi first who violated protocol by asking Chandrashekar Rao not to receive him when he arrived in Hyderabad in November 2020 ahead of the GHMC polls.
The BJP on the other hand is leaving no stone unturned in making the PM meeting a grand success. People from across the state are coming to Secunderabad for the meeting.
Modi will be in Hyderabad for about two hours.
