The Maoists who planned to kill Indian PM Modi have their own doubts that they might fail in the operation. They wanted Rs 8 crore for the weapons and other things. But they had the apprehensions that, they may fail and not succeed. They wanted a Rajiv Gandhi killing kind of operation, but it is impossible with Narendra Modi.
1. The technology and equipment used apart from the vehicles are highly sophisticated when compared to the time of Rajiv and Indra Gandhi.
2. 4 layers of security are provided to the PM and the local police also through a security wing around the VVIP.
3. Advance parties are stationed to maintain a vigil at the places that the PM would be visiting.
4. Well trained SPG police with sophisticated weapons are in the first ring around the PM.
5. There is personal security around him with armed guards also of SPG.
6. The other ring around PM will be by the NSG. This is the third cover we can say.
7. The fourth layer is by the Paramilitary forces.
8. Sometimes BSF is also used.
9. Electronic surveillance is also in place apart from the CC cameras.
