Vijaywada which was embroiled in political slug fests these days, woke up to a freak accident where an APSRTC bus killed three of them.
Two passengers including a bus conductor were killed and a baby critically injured when an APSRTC bus rammed into platform number 12 at Pandit Nehru Bus Station in Vijayawada this morning.
According to the police, the bus bound for Guntur from Vijayawada arrived at the Bus Station and it rammed into the platform after the brakes failed.
A few passengers suffered minor injuries while the furniture at the Bus Station was damaged, in the accident. One of the deceased was identified as a conductor by the name of Veeraiah.
The bus was towed down and regular services resumed. Vijayawada is busy with Political meetings and the campaign of YSRC.
