Brahmotsavams at Avulapalle

The annual brahmotsavams in the TTD taken over the temple at Somala mandal in Avulapalle village, Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple, will be observed between February 28 to March 9.

The Ankurarpanam for the mega fete will be performed on February 27.

The important days include Dhwajarohanam on February 28, Garuda Vahanam on March 5, Rathotsavam on March 5, Tirumangai Alwar Dopu Utsavam on March 7, Vasanthotsavam, Chakra Snanam and Dhwajavarohanam on March 8 and Sayanptsavam on March 9.

The Lakshmi Kasula Haram brought from Tirumala reached Srinivasa Mangapuram on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Haram was brought to TTD Administrative Building amidst tight security. Later it was taken to Srinivasa Mangapuram after performing pujas in a grand procession.

The Haram will be decorated to Sri Kalyana Venkateswara on the occasion of Garuda Seva on the fifth day evening as part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Srinivasa Mangapuram.

The pleasant evening witnessed utmost religious fervour at Srinivasa Mangapuram with Sri Kalyana Venkateswara atop mighty Garuda Vahanam sitting majestically blessing His devotees.

The four mada streets surrounding the temple were filled with devotees who waited with eagerness and enthusiasm to catch a glimpse of Lord on His favorite carrier as religious splendour and extravaganza marked the entire event.

The performances by cultural troupes, colourful floral and light decorations enhanced the grandeur of Garuda Seva.
